‘Our test team should try the carbon fibre swingarm for the first time on the RS-GP in Spain’ – Aprilia.
Aprilia is set to try a carbon fibre swingarm on its RS-GP for the first time during private MotoGP testing at Jerez this week.
The Italian factory – which previously used a carbon fibre swingarm for its 250GP machines, but has so far favoured a conventional aluminium design in MotoGP – will be on track from March 27-29 with Matteo Baiocco.
“Our test team should try the carbon fibre swingarm for the first time on the RS-GP in Spain,” a team spokesman told Crash.net.
“Then we will bring it for the guys in the race team.”
Ducati has used a carbon fibre swingarm since 2009, with Honda debuting the composite on its RC213V during winter testing.
